Yesterday was a wonderful day at The Orchard. Since it was Halloween, I decided to teach a lesson with a Halloween visual. We decided that we would “Celebrate Grace instead of Ghosts and Goblins.” It was on this day (October 31) 493 years ago that Martin Luther pinned his 95 theses on the door of the Wittenburg church, declaring the truth that salvation is by grace through faith and not from our works or religious activities. It’s late Sunday evening and I am pretty tired, but it’s a good tired. This has been an amazing day. Worship at The Orchard was incredible this morning. Thank you Pastor Michael, Band, and Praise team for an outstanding job. Thanks for the new songs. Great job on the solo Liz, and you guys on the guitar rock! I could sense the Spirit’s presence from the beginning.

I continue to be amazed at the sweet sweet spirit that prevails at The Orchard. I am so blessed to be allowed to Pastor such a church. I love you all and pray for you! I am praying that you have a great week.

After Worship we went to our daughter’s house to celebrate our granddaughter’s 5th Birthday. Allianna is 5 going on 15. She is an angel and we are so grateful for God’s blessing in her life. I am so proud of Allianna. Brody was there in great form. He would get tired but refused to lay down for a nap. I bet he will sleep well tonight. It was so good to see how tender the other children are with him. I don’t know if they understand about his sickness or not, but they are extra tender and caring.

Before the party we had the pleasure of having lunch with our son John, his wife Angela, and our beautiful grandchildren, Cash, and Ashlyn. We are so glad to have them close to us and enjoy spending time with them.

As you can see…I’ve had quite a day. Thank you Lord for extending such favor and grace upon my life!
